hi! i'm gina...and, here's a little bit about me.

Growing up in central Missouri, I have always held a strong connection to country meadows, family farms, and small town life.  Much of my childhood was spent with my grandparents where I inadvertently picked up some of my most sacred attributes. From them I learned how to conserve and reuse.  Beliefs such as ‘old is better than new’ and ‘homemade and handcrafted’ are always best were evident in their daily routines.  Perhaps the most poignant notion I embraced is that you should surround yourself with only the most precious items then find the stories within them.  These simple convictions are ones I hold dear.  They are my foundation and are constantly reflected in my art.

Later in life my husband and I moved our 3 children to the Kansas City area where we have been afforded so many opportunities that only a growing city could offer.  Living so close to art galleries and museums has made a huge impact on my creativity and confidence. After 28 years of being a science teacher, I have now retired and plan to pursue my artistic endeavors full-time.  My desire is to share my experiences with other creatives in order to help them explore, build self-trust, and achieve their artistic dreams.
